Sautéed Balsamic Brussels Sprouts

- 12 oz. bag Brussels Sprouts
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp. Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Prepare your brussels sprouts by removing the stems and any yellowed or discolored leaves. Then wash the sprouts well under cold running water or soak them in a bowl of cold water.
Next, half the brussels sprouts and place in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, add the minced garlic cloves, oil, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and adjust flavor to taste by adding more maple syrup or salt and pepper.
Add the mixture to the large bowl with the brussels sprouts and toss well.
Heat a heavy skillet on medium-to-high heat.
Add a bit more oil to the pan
Add the brussels sprouts to the pan and sauté for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking and burning.
Remove from heat and toss with the herb toasted walnuts.
