Sweet Sriracha Glazed Bacon

Everything is better with bacon. If I could eat bacon every day without the negative health effects, I would. This sweet sriracha glazed bacon recipe is inspired by a bacon and beer tasting I attended with my sister-in-life sometime in 2012-2013. We got to try bacon prepared four different ways and each was paired with a beer. I could’ve done without the beer, but it was a part of the experience. Although I have the recipe sheet for each four somewhere in my house, the cooking method stuck with me all these years. Mainly because it was a super easy process that resulted in something amazing.

A moment of truth, I’ve been having a hard time writing some of these recipes because I typically don’t measure my ingredients. Some dishes I’ve remade multiple times just to remember to write down the ingredients, so worrying about measurements is a whole other beast. When I was coming up with the concept for this blog, I said that I was going to just give you all the ingredients and let you decide how much you want of each. However, I know most people like to follow specific instructions or have general ratios of ingredients.

This recipe is complete freestyling! Make the glaze to your taste.

The ingredients are:

  • Honey
  • Sriracha
  • Brown Sugar
  • Gluten-Free Soy Sauce

Instructions

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Evenly space the bacon on the baking sheet and par-cook for 10-15 minutes. This allows the bacon to brown on both sides without crisping.

While the bacon is par-cooking, combine the glaze ingredients in a small bowl. You should want your consistency to be thick but still spreadable.

Remove the bacon from the oven coat both sides with the glaze. Feel free to pat the bacon with paper towels to soak up some of the grease before glazing.

Finish cooking for another 10-15 minutes. You can use these a topping for the Chorizo Burger or you can eat them alone. Whatever your heart desires. Enjoy!
