This garlic confit toast is pure perfection. The fresh herbs, garlic confit, and butter takes toast to the next level. You have to try this flavor packed toast!

How to make garlic confit?

  • Pre-heat the oven to 250° F.
  • In an oven-safe baking dish, add the peeled garlic and enough oil to cover the garlic. You can use grapeseed, avocado, olive oil, or another high-heat oil.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake for about 3 hours or until the garlic is brown and soft.
  • Allow the oil and garlic to completely cool before storing. Store in an airtight glass or plastic container in the fridge for up to three months.

How to make garlic confit toast

Feel free to get creative with your garlic confit. I wanted some spice to mine, so I added a dried chipotle pepper to the oil before putting it into the oven. It resulted in a very modest heat level. To achieve a stronger heat level, next time I am going to try to add a fresh pepper to the oil.

Ingredients

  • Vegan butter or regular butter, softened
  • Garlic confit
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, basil, or another herb)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Gluten-free Baguette

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl.

Slice the baguette into 1/4 inch diagonal slices. Spread the mixture onto the baguette. Save a little of the mixture to spread on the toast later.

Garlic Confit Toast

Calling all garlic lovers to try this amazing garlic confit toast to serve alongside your favorite soup or dish.

Ingredients
  

  • Vegan butter or regular butter softened
  • Garlic confit
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, basil, or another herb)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Gluten-free baguette

Instructions
 

  • Combine all the ingredients (minus the baguette) in a small bowl.
  • Spread the mixture onto the baguette. Save a little to spread on the toast when it's fresh out of the oven.
  • Toast for 3-5 minutes on each side on the stovetop or using the broil setting on your oven.
  • Immediately spread the additional butter mixture onto the toast after removing from your selected heat source.
